Believe it or not, the second quarter of the school year is coming to a close. The third quarter will begin on Tuesday, January 19th. Teachers are collecting information from all families about how their child will be learning in quarter 3. Forms are due on or before Friday, December 11th. Please make sure you have returned the quarter 3 form or spoken directly to your child’s teacher.
If you are selecting Distance Learning in quarter 3, make sure your child has the support they need at home to be successful. Several hours each day need to be spend learning, practicing, and submitting assignments and assessments. An active, involved parent or family member needs to check in on student’s work daily, communicate regularly with the teacher, and be available to help and support as needed. Not participating in learning from home will greatly affect future success. If your child is not successful (earning grades of 2.0 or above) with Distance Learning, please consider returning to school. We sincerely want to prepare students for a successful future, and education is key.
