Dear Parents and Students, we hope you have a happy Independence Day weekend! I’m sure you have heard a lot of rumors about what school is going to look like in the fall. Our plan is to return to school as normal. We will have safety measure in place like social distancing, masks, extra cleaning, etc. The specifics of those safety measures will be available to review later this month and will be very thorough.
If you are still uncomfortable sending your student to school after reading the plan, we will offer a home-school option. Every student will be assigned a homeroom teacher and can seamlessly transition from physical school to home-school at any point throughout the year and keep the same teacher and classmates the entire time.
We will be offering online registration this year which will begin on July 15th. You can also register in person on Tuesday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the gym. Every student needs to register even if you choose the home-school option so that we can assign them a teacher.
Don’t forget we are still serving lunch every weekday during the summer from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and are distributing food bank items every Wednesday during that same time.
We miss you all so much and are working hard this summer to prepare a safe and fun environment for all of our students. We can’t wait to see you all next year and hope you continue to trust us to educated your student either at Magna Elementary or through our home school option.
