Hello all,
As we approach the end of the first quarter of school, it is time to submit your 2nd Quarter Learning Options Form to indicate the learning modality your student(s) will engage in for the 2nd quarter. This form must be turned in to the office by October 9th. The second quarter begins on October 26th and ends on January 14th. Please consider your choice carefully, as your child is expected to remain in the chosen learning modality throughout the entire quarter. Depending on the number of face-to-face and distance learning students for 2nd quarter, we anticipate that we may need to make some adjustments with classroom teachers in some grade levels. We need a response for every student even if you are not changing their current learning option. If you need a form, please notify the office.
At this time, here is the breakdown of the grade levels:
Kindergarten-Distance learner teacher and two Face to Face teachers
1st grade-Distance learner teacher and three Face to Face teachers
2nd grade-Distance learner teacher and two Face to Face teachers
3rd grade-3 teachers that do both Distance and Face to Face teaching
4th grade-3 teachers that do both Distance and Face to Face teaching
5th grade-3 teachers that do both Distance and Face to Face teaching
Parents can expect from distance teachers:
-class meeting on Friday-teacher will let you know the time
-a consistent time during Monday through Thursday when you, or your student, can get a hold of teacher online
-communication returned within 24 business hours
-help from teacher or office for technical issues
-timely feedback for your student from teacher concerning assignments
*If your student is not getting these things, please contact our office at 385-646-4984. We are committed to providing a quality education to your child whether it is Face to Face learning or Distance.
