The Redwood Elementary community is committed to supporting active, reflective, lifelong learners. We believe learning is maximized when it takes place in a positive environment enriched with encouragement and support, and to that end we are committed to nurturing and respecting each individual student. Redwood students will leave our school better prepared to make a positive difference in the world.
And our vision:
Redwood Elementary students will leave prepared for Junior High and life. They will be able to self-regulate and handle challenges to become successful contributing members of society.
Redwood is located in the north central area of Granite School District. It was built in 1953.
Computers and Technology
Redwood has many technical devices such as ipads, computers, and Chromebooks for students to use and smart boards in all of our classrooms. Many 3rd through 6th grade classrooms are eMints certified classrooms that have computers at every desk. We have two computer labs used for Granite School District benchmark assessments, SuccessMaker, Imagine Learning, and research skills.
Students promoted from Redwood will attend Granite Park Junior High School.
Redwood serves approximately 650 students in grades K – 6 and more than 50 in preschool. We are extremely proud of our diverse population and the different languages spoken here.
