School Mission Statement
The mission at Valley Crest Elementary School is to foster a love of learning in our students that reach beyond their K-12 Education. We are invested in students academic, social and emotional success and encourage our students to be positive and find productive ways to contribute to society as a whole. Valley Crest also strives to involve our community in a way that helps our students become successful in their futures.
School Background
Valley Crest is located in the northwest area of Granite School District. It was built in 1985 to serve the growing population of West Valley City. The school boundaries are 4600 West to 5600 West, and 2100 South to 3500 South.
Enrollment
Valley Crest Elementary school serves students with widely diversified cultural backgrounds, including Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, African American, and American Indian.
Computers and Technology
We are part of the Granite School District Technology Grant. Through this we are able to provide 1-1 Chromebooks for all students K-6. Teachers are able to instruct in new innovative ways through this supported technology.
For two days each week, Valley Crest has a School Technology Specialist (STS) to help teachers with technology and to maintain the computer network. Our computer labs are used for testing to provide immediate feedback to students and teachers. Valley Crest also uses the testing lab for end of the year testing in third through sixth grades.

Students promoted from this school will attend West Lake or Hunter Junior High and Granger High School or Hunter High School.
