Principal’s Message: SPRING

I can’t believe it’s Spring already.  This year has gone by so quickly.  We will soon be into end-of-year testing.  This year students in 3rd-6th grades will be taking Language Arts, Math, and Writing tests.  Science tests will also be given to 4th-6th grade students.  All tests will be taken on computers.  writing tests begin next week and all other tests will be given from April 7th through May 9th.  Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and arrives at school on time, ready to do their very best work.  Rewards will be given to students with outstanding performance.  Drawings for scooters and other prizes will be held for all students who do their best work, follow directions, and attend on time every testing day. These tests help us to know what concepts your child has mastered this year and where to begin next year’s instruction.  Let your child know how important these tests are.  Your support and encouragement will make a big difference.
