Every spring, schools have the opportunity to participate in state end of year assessments and celebrate with students their academic accomplishments. This year all students in grades three through six will be taking these computerized assessments between the dates of April 21st and May 23rd. All teachers have been given their testing schedules and can provide you with specific testing dates for your students. It is very important that students are at school during the entire testing window. WE are asking for your cooperation in not planning vacations or appointments that would cause your child to miss school during this testing window. We also encourage your help in seeing that your child receives plenty of rest and a nutritious breakfast each day. These scores are very important to student placement for next year and also reflect school progress and accomplishments. As a school, we will be encouraging students to do their best and have high expectations for each student. Incentives will be given to students who are on time every day, follow specific instructions, and do their best on each test. Grade level celebrations will be held for all students who achieve passing scores. We also ask that you encourage your students to do their best work and set high expectations for them. It is important for each child to know that their parents and teachers are counting on them to try their best. Thank you for your support in encouraging your child to produce the best work possible during SAGE testing. We know we have fantastic students and this is our chance to show everyone how fantastic the Academy Park Skyhawks really are.
To assist all students to do their best during testing, free breakfast will be provided for every students from 7:30-8:00 a.m. April 28th through May 9th.
