Welcome back to another great year at Academy Park. We are excited to be working with the amazing students at our school. Registration for the upcoming school year will be held Thursday, August 7th from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All students, new and returning, need to register every year. New students should provide birth certificate, immunization record, and address verification. Returning students only need to provide current address verification. Students must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. We encourage you to attend on our registration day, as this helps us finalize class lists and prepare student supplies. However, if you will be out of town on that day, please come into the office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. August 11th – 15th to complete the registration process.
The PTA and school have joined together to provide a Back to School Night on Thursday, August 21st. The PTA will provide a spaghetti dinner for the family from 5:30 – 6:15. Join PTA for $7 and enjoy a free dinner. Beginning at 6:30, there will be a “welcome back” opening session in the gym and then classroom sessions at 6:50 and 7:15. The computer lab will be open from 6:00 – 8:00 for anyone who needs to complete on-line forms. Please plan to join us as we begin the 2014-2015 school year.
New this year are preschool classes for three and four year old children. We are happy to have this program at the school. If you are interested in enrolling a student, please contact the Granite Preschool office at 385-646-4672.
The CEP after school program will continue again this year with academic support and enrichment classes. We will be adding a beginning orchestra class and some other new opportunities. Watch for registration information going home on September 4th.
