Principal’s Message from Dr. Longberg:
We are off to a great start! Thank you to all who came to our Back to School Night on Monday. I am very happy to be your new principal. We have a fabulous faculty and staff that have worked hard to get ready for your children. We care about them and want to see them succeed in every way possible.
Title 1 is a new program at our school. This is federal money that allows us to have extra resources to support student success. I will tell you more about those things as we go along this year. So watch for Title 1 updates regularly.
We will soon have new security doors at the front entrance. These doors will help us keep your children safe. All visitors will need to come through the office for a pass prior to entering the hallways. Thanks for cooperating with us to keep all children safe.
We are starting a new weekly event- Tuesday Teacher Talk Time from 7:30—8:00 every Tuesday morning. It is the one time each week that families can enter the school without needing a pass from the office. The purpose is to give you a chance to talk to the teachers as often as you feel the need about whatever is on your mind about your children’s education. Most of our teachers have been able to make the commitment to be at school early for “office hours” time on Tuesdays. Please know there will always be at least one teacher from each grade level available during this time to help you with questions or concerns. If your child’s teacher is not available the teacher “on duty” will pass along any messages you need to get to your child’s teacher.

Finally, we will be having an after school program again this year. It will begin in mid-September. More information will be coming soon.
