This week our third graders went on a field trip to the Utah State Capitol. These excited students and teachers learned about the different branches of Utah’s government and toured the different important rooms. Students toured the governor’s office, the room where Representatives meet, and where our Supreme Court makes important decisions.
With our tour guide’s help, and inquisitive questions, students began to recognize symbolism on the walls and ceilings this historic building. Students also used cameras to capture important images that they will use to create a project back in the classroom. They had a fun time exploring this significant Utah building!
