Students finished first term with many exciting events. PTA provided a Red Ribbon week with an assembly by Mad Science about the dangers of smoking. Mrs. Ball was a great visual aide! Throughout this past week students were involved in many Halloween activities too. Kindergarten students carved pumpkins with sixth grade buddies, older students did lots of writing and artwork about haunted houses and other strange creatures. Most students also got to attend the No Stop and Go activity which was an extra recess period as a reward for following school expectations during the entire term. Way to go, Sky Hawks! We also loved having so many parents come watch the Halloween parade and help with fun activities in classrooms on the last day of the term. Even teachers and staff at Academy Park know how to celebrate. We look forward to a wonderful second term with ongoing learning for everyone!
