One new addition to Academy Park this year is the Playworks Program! Playworks places a full-time coach at schools to facilitate structured recess. Coach Blake is outside at every recess to teach kids how to play safely, include others, and use healthy ways to resolve conflicts that arise. In Class Game Time, Coach Blake teaches the kids and their teacher a new game twice a month! These 5th graders are playing a game of Ro-Sham-Bo Rockstar. We are also proud to have several Junior Coaches out at recess to help include all students in safe and healthy play!
