More Notes and Reminders:
- Attendance Counts!—Please make sure your child comes to school. We can only teach students who are here. Help your child’s class earn a popcorn party. Every time the class reaches 10 days of perfect attendance they earn a popcorn treat.
- Did you know, parents can excuse 7 absences each year for any reason? After 7 absences, however, there are potential consequences—letters of warning, mandatory pre-court meetings, possible referral to Division of Child and Family Services. Please help us help your child learn by making sure he/she comes to school every day. See the principal with questions or concerns.
- Building opens at 7:30 a.m. Many children are coming to school before 7:30 a.m. There is NO SUPERVISION until 7:30 a.m. Please don’t drop your children off too early!
- Playground Duty—anyone???
- Do you have any interesting non-fiction books at home that you would like to donate to our school? We are building an advanced reader library and need more books of high interest to young minds. Contact the office if you can contribute.
- Volunteers/Visitors—We are now asking volunteers and visitors to please bring photo ID if you are new to our office staff and always sign in and out when you come to spend time in the school. This helps us keep our school more secure for the safety of children. Thank you for your support!
- Upcoming Holiday Events—1st Grade Performance Dec 14 @ 6:00, PTA Elf Shelf Dec 18 @ 8:00—6:30 with Santa! Lights on After School Event Dec 20 @ 5:00. More details coming next month.
