More Notes and Reminders:
- SEAMLESS SUMMER LUNCH—Academy Park will be a site that children can come to every weekday to receive a free lunch from June 4th until August 3rd. Watch for more information to come!
- Upcoming Events—School musical performance on May 10th at 6:00. Family Lunch Day on May 11th during school lunch time. Cost of meal for adults is $3.35 exact change—pay on the day of event. Last Community Council meeting May 16th at 4:00. Celebration of Learning May 17th 5:30—7:00. School Carnival May 22nd starting at 5:00 for all children and their families. Sixth grade promotion May 25th at 8:45 a.m.
- Learning at Home—Are you doing dyad reading and using ST Math at home? These are two great tools to increase achievement for kids! Ask your child’s teacher or contact the office for more information and help.
- End of Year Testing—Thank you for helping your children get plenty of rest and nutritious food to eat so they can do their best on end of year tests from now until May 11th. Mark your calendars now for our end of year “Celebration of Learning” on May 17th 5:30—7:00 with ice cream treats for all who attend!
- PTA NEWS ALERT!—Let the school or PTA president know if you are willing to serve on the PTA board next year. This is a great way to serve the school. T-shirt logo contest going on now. Open to all students and families of Academy Park. Help design a new school spirit shirt! Deadline April 27th.
- DROP OFF/PICK UP—Please remind junior high students who pick up younger siblings that it is a privilege, not a right, to be on Academy Park school property after school. Please encourage them to follow school rules when picking up younger siblings so they can continue to have this privilege
