Back to School Night HUGE Success!

Thanks to generous donations of time and resources from West Valley City and our Academy Park neighborhood, students and parents were treated to a wonderful evening meeting new teachers, enjoying dinner, playing games, and learning about all the great services provided by our friends at West Valley City.

Dinner provided by Smiths Food, Frito Lay, and donations of watermelon from our local neighbors. More than 700 hotdogs enjoyed by our Academy Park friends and families!

Two of our amazing partners in bringing this event together–Ann Larsen (long time resident of the neighborhood) and Craig Thomas (organizer of West Valley City’s community night out).

PTA president, Tiffany Gray, and her husband make sure all children have fun with cotton candy for everyone–provided by Academy Park PTA.

Generous donations helped teachers get the school year started right. In addition, monetary donations totaled over $250.
