Academy Park is recruiting 5th and 6th grade students to be leaders in our school as members of the newly forming “Skyhawk Student Leaders” team. We are combining what used to be the safety patrol and student council to form one team of students committed to serving our school by helping keep kids safe before and after school, opening doors in the morning, doing announcements, helping with assemblies and other opportunities throughout the year. Students may pick up an application from their homeroom teachers to apply for this great leadership experience. Parent permission is required. An information meeting with interested students will be held this Friday, August 23rd in room 14 at 1:00. Parents are welcome to attend with their children. We hope to see many 5th and 6th grade students serving as “Skyhawk Student Leaders” this year.
