Teachers, all combined, have already completed almost 100 home visits! Remember, home visits are completely optional for both families and teachers, and they are a wonderful way for teachers to get to know the families of children they teach. We are almost one quarter of the way to our goal of visiting 50% of families by the end of October.
With all the new technology in our building, teachers now have personal school phone numbers that you can call directly to communicate with them. They may not answer right away since your children’s education comes first, but they are committed to ongoing communication with you in whatever ways work best. Our website will soon have all teachers’ phone numbers and email addresses listed along with their photos to help you.
We have EXTENDED Family Center hours to accommodate families’ schedules. You can reach someone in the building from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. every full school day (not short days). Things we can support you with include: how to help your child at home, accessing the Parent Portal, classroom technology tools (ST Math, Imagine Learning, and all things google), community resources, ESL classes, mental health support, and much more.
