A new instructional strategy at Academy Park which includes all students in 1st – 6th grades. Every full school day one hour is dedicated to specific instruction based on each child’s individual reading skills. Children are placed in groups according to our DIBELS assessments. Groups are fluid and will change over time. Your child’s Power Up teacher will likely be different than their regular teacher. You can learn more about Power UP Literacy and how you can best support your child’s reading skills during our upcoming Family conferences (SEPs) on Sept 25th and 26th.
