Community Council Notes

At our Community Council meeting, the parents who attended had a great discussion with the teachers and the administration about the goals of our school to improve instruction and increase family partnerships. We talked about ideas for using additional funds to help students be more successful. We also talked about how teachers are personalizing learning for children. We considered ways to increase responsible digital citizenship by asking teachers to teach lessons on this topic more frequently. Finally, we discussed the next steps in the process of making a good decision on whether to reconfigure the sixth grade to attend Kennedy Junior. We are working to get the Kennedy Junior principal to talk to our parents soon. Our next meeting is December 11 at 5:00.
