—Remember the saying “Practice makes perfect.” We have been reviewing school procedures with the students this month so I thought it would be a great time to review a few procedures with parents too. You can find even more procedures on the back of the school folder that was given to every family on the first day of school. Here we go!
1. Before school, children can go to the computer lab starting at 7:30 until 8:00. Or they may choose to wait in the foyer if they don’t want to be outside on the playground before school. When weather is really bad, the gym is opened for all children starting at 7:50.
2. When the bell rings, children can enter the building through any outside door. We have student leaders who hold open the doors for children so they can get inside quickly to get their breakfast.
3. We have a lost and found where we put all items that children leave behind. If your child is missing a coat or jacket or hat or gloves, please encourage them to look in the lost and found. Parents can look in there too.
4. Remember to bring photo ID if you need to check your student out during the school day. We strongly encourage you to NOT check out students during the last 15 minutes of the day unless there is an emergency.
