Playworks
One new addition to Academy Park this year is the Playworks Program! Playworks places a full-time coach at schools to facilitate structured recess. Coach Blake is outside at every recess to teach kids how to play safely, include others, and use healthy ways to resolve conflicts that arise. Safety Patrol Stays on School Grounds to Stay Safe
Granite School District now requires all school safety patrol students to remain on school grounds to perform safety duties. This new requirement keeps us compliant with the district insurance policy. Effective Monday, Oct 5th, there are no longer safety patrol students at posts near crosswalks that are NOT on school property.
