Parents of current 5th and 6th grade students,
We are excited to welcome your students to Bennion Junior next year. We are currently working very hard to get ready for our course selection process. There are a few things for you to know about this process:
- All our course selection will be done online this year. Counselors will be visiting classes to discuss our course options, but students will enter their selections using their Chromebooks.
- Prior to counselor visits, the 6th and 7th grade course selection information will be available for parents. This will review all required and elective classes for students to choose from.
- Course selection will take place mid-January. Final dates will be provided after winter break.
- Because of Covid there will be no in-person Bennion on Parade this year. We will provide information from our departments via video and other online means.
- There will be an orientation/open house prior to the new school year starting, so all incoming students will have the opportunity to see the school, meet their teachers and get a feeling for what a school day will be like.
We know how anxious you all are about the transition of your students to Bennion Junior. We will do our best to make sure this is a smooth and positive experience. Please feel free co contact me or a counselor if you have questions about the process.
