Parents & Guardians,
We are excited to welcome students for the final week of school. Our faculty has been so impressed with the tremendous effort our students have put in and all the great things they have accomplished this year. We are also so grateful for the support parents/guardians have provided throughout the year. Below are a few reminders about the upcoming week. We ask that you have a conversation with your students to help us make it an amazing experience for them.
All next week:
No backpacks allowed – Students will not be permitted to bring backpacks into the building. If students do bring backpacks, we will collect them as they enter the building and hold them in the office until the end of the school day. When the school day ends, students will be allowed to pick them up in the front office.
Students must attend classes – Teachers will take attendance in every class, every day. We have a Carnival/Field Day event planned for students to “have fun” with their friends without the constraint of a classroom. That event is structured and planned. If parents/guardians would like to excuse students from class, we certainly support your right to do that. However, students who are not attending class will not be allowed to roam the campus.
Day by day plan:
Tuesday May 31st
Yearbooks will be distributed during second period classes to all students who have purchased them. They will have the opportunity during classes and lunch to get them signed, but we will not have an event dedicated to yearbook signing. All yearbooks that were purchased by Friday the 27th will be distributed during second period. Yearbooks will continue to be available for students to purchase until we run out. Students will be allowed to purchase them during lunch and after school. Parents will be allowed to purchase them during school hours throughout the week. Yearbooks can also be purchased through the webstore which can be accessed through the school website.
Wednesday June 1st
Students will attend classes on a special bell schedule. We will then have a carnival from 1:00pm-2:45pm. We have inflatables, food, and other fun activities for students to enjoy. We will have teachers and parent volunteers running activities and providing supervision. While students will have significant freedom to do what they want, they will be expected to maintain appropriate behavior. Parents/guardians are welcome to join in the festivities. We ask that you check-in with the front office and secure a Visitor’s Pass before doing so.
Thursday June 2nd
This is the last day of school for students. It will be a short day with students getting out at 12:05pm. Students will still be expected to attend classes on a special schedule and will not be permitted to roam the campus.
Thank you,
Jake Brown
