Pioneer Families,
A significant winter storm is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. This email is not meant to say that tomorrow is a late start or a distance learning day, I just want to make sure that Pioneer is prepared in the event that a late start or distance learning snow day is called. Please watch for emails/texts/phone calls from both Granite District and Pioneer Elementary starting as early as tomorrow morning as we assess what level of impact (if any) this storm will have on our school day. Please read this email in its entirety and let me know if you have any questions.
There are three possible options for tomorrow:
1. Regular School Day
2. 2-Hour Delay Start (school would begin at 11:05 AM)
3. Distance Learning Day – Refer to Snow Day/ Distance Learning Packet and/or instructions from your child’s teacher.
A few months ago each Pioneer teacher sent home an emergency “Snow Day Packet” in preparation for a possible transition to a distance learning day. Today would be a good day to find that packet and dust it off, just in case.
*IF* we transition to a distance learning day tomorrow, teachers will send an email first thing in the morning with instructions on how to proceed with the day and how to contact them.
Again, this email is to help everyone be prepared for a change in our schedule if deemed necessary by Granite School District Superintendency. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and pay attention to phone calls, texts, and/or emails tomorrow morning.

Stay safe and have a wonderful day!
