Parent Volunteers at Pioneer Elementary
We are looking for ways to get involved here at Pioneer. This is such a priceless action that can take place by you, as parents and the kids love it when their parents come in and volunteer.
We are so excited to know that we can always count on our volunteers! You can find many of our parents volunteering in the classrooms, workrooms and even in the PTA; you can find many of them taking one of the many classes offered by the Family Center. Our parent volunteers have been integral in creating a caring, cooperative, and collaborative environment.
For many of the parents, being a volunteer is also a community affair and like stated before are integral to our school community. The parents are quickly identified by our students, and most appreciate everything they do. Some students view them as their own parents.
Many of our parents want to show that it is important for them to let the school know that they are a part of the community and that by working together with the school they can make Pioneer a place where not just education but community is learned. Just like the teachers and staff give their time to teach their children, they want to give back through their time to the school.
Many of the parents have expressed that by being a volunteer, parents get to meet the faculty/staff and learn how the school works so when they have a problem they know whom to contact. On behalf of The Family Center and West Lake Junior High School, we want to thank ALL of our parent volunteers for everything they have done for our school.
Please support our school and PTA by volunteering here at Pioneer. It makes a difference in the lives of our students and staff and is a priceless service to our school and community.
Attendance each and every day is so important for every student. In December this year, Pioneer El had the 3rd best attendance improvement, over last year, in the district and I want to thank each of you for your help and support. Please help your kids to attend school each and every day and that they are here on time every day. We want to make sure that your child gets the best education and attendance is an important part to their success.
Thank you so much for your support in this matter.
I am so blessed to be the principal at this great school and amazing community. Last year was fun and full of so many positive activities and events. This year will be even better. We saw great growth with the students in so many ways.
It is my job and responsibility to create an environment that is safe, fun, creative and enriched with learning. I will do my best to create this for your precious kids the staff and you as parents. Each of you are always welcome here at Pioneer.
Your support and help at home is priceless and I ask that each of you do your very best to make sure that your kids are here every day, present and ready to learn and be engaged with wonderful teachers and staff. Attendance is critical for growth and learning.
I am also hoping to create a place where we can get more parent involvement inside the school. Teachers love it when parents come in to support them and their students. Your kids love it as well. We sure could use more of this volunteer support here at Pioneer.
We have one to one Chromebooks for each student to use. This will be critical for the development of the students in this the 21st century.
In addition, by the end of September, we are hoping to have a fully functioning food pantry in our outside relocatable.
Thank you again for letting me be part of this great community. I love it here and look forward to working with you and each of your children. They are amazing.
