We are very proud of our second year of the WOW program. Last year it began in hopes that we could have students understand and see the benefit of knowing that school was their job. We rewarded students monthly, had class competitions, and school celebrations.
This year we were able to combine our efforts with the “Everyday Counts” initiative through the school district. Each school received $200 for signing a pledge saying they would participate. That money, of course, went to our root beer float parties, popcorn parties, brownie sundae parties, etc. for the classrooms that had the least amount of tardies and absences. In addition to this program, the top 5 schools at the end of the year would receive a prize. Well, we came in 7th at 96% attendance. THAT is huge! We are so proud of the students, teachers, and parents that worked hard to get to their job on time and daily. That will not only benefit our school, but YOU, the student in your educational goals. We are so excited for the next year and the 100% attendance we will have next year!!!!! GO Tigers.
