Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
We are setting up a reverse parade. Yes, you heard it correctly…a reverse parade! This Thursday, May 7th starting at 11:00am and ending at 12:00pm. We will have our teachers and staff standing in a safe distance surrounding the front sidewalk area of our building. We will have a DJ out front playing fun tunes to make our distance parade lively. During this time, we are asking you to parade past us to tell our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week how much you love and miss them. Any cards or tokens of appreciation are welcome to be handed to your teachers during this time (Mr. Smith, Mrs. Stivers and any of our SPED teachers who serve your students would also love to be honored as well).
We ask you to PLEASE follow the attached map to avoid any traffic jams/traffic conflicts. Please come either North or South on Bennion Rd, head West on Mantle Avenue, enter our drop off circle where we normally serve lunch, turn right out of the drop off circle and continue West on Mantle Dr. We ask you do not make a U turn in front of the school to head east back to your homes. This will cause traffic to bunch up and frustrations might arise. We want this to be a safe and fun opportunity for all.
If you choose to walk through the parade, you are welcome to. Please watch for cars, and vehicles please watch for pedestrians. All walkers need to follow the same pattern as vehicles to allow 6 ft or more distance from our staff in order to keep us all safe.
If you are choosing to take a lunch, head into our faculty parking lot where lunch will be served for those parading from 11:00-12:00.
We hope you can all join us in the fun!! Mark this on your calendars! It will definitely be an event you will want to participate in!!
Sincerely,
Principal McMillan
