Whittier Parents,
Good Morning! Here are a few things I wanted to let you know about for this week:
- If you haven’t seen our Weekly Whittier Broadcast yet, it is posted on our Whittier Website each Monday morning. It has pertinent information about what’s going on each week helpful for you to know. It also has our Weekly Reels, which is a peek into our Whittier classrooms where you can see the incredible things your students are doing. We want to bring the magic of Whittier to you! - We need another member of Community Council. This is a great opportunity for parents to be involved in decision-making for our school when it comes to spending Trustlands Money (about $63,000 this year) as we align our spending to our School Goals. The commitment is usually an hour meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm. If you are a working parent and can’t get in the building regularly to volunteer, this is a great committee to be involved in without taking regular time out of a workday. Please reach out to Principal Bodell if you’re interested or want more information.
- Our Parent Sing-Around is this Thursday at 2:30 pm in the gym. Doors will open about twenty minutes beforehand. Please enter through the exterior doors to the gym (on the north side of the school). We do ask you stay for the entire performance, which will last about an hour. The program will end very close to the school day so you can pick-up your children when the bell rings.
- Winter Break starts Monday, Dec. 18th and school resumes Monday, January 3, 2022.
