Principal’s Message:

We have had a great first month of school! The students are doing so well in academics and behavior! We love when they show what good citizens they are! It is especially great when they show such natural kindness to one another. They are obviously learning it from home!
We have another exciting bit of news happening at Hunter. We have received a Fresh Fruit and Vegetables grant from the state. That means that every Tuesday and Thursday morning around 10 a.m. the children receive a piece or serving of a fresh fruit or vegetable! Last week was watermelon chunks and peaches! This week was really crazy! We tried a new fruit called Rambutan! It looks like a little red porcupine, and has a sweet white center. Most of the children really enjoyed it! Thursday, September 25th they enjoyed fresh mini cucumbers! Ask your children about the delicious fresh produce they receive each week as a mid-morning snack!
Thank you for your excellent support of our students through your attendance at Parent Teacher conferences (SEP) in September! Your commitment to their quality education is evident through your involvement!
Remind your children to read 20 to 30 minutes EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, or if they need assistance, please read to them. It provides a foundation for future learning that is irreplaceable! We are preparing our Hunter Knights for college, and reading is the gateway to success!
Thanks for sharing your great children with us! We love our Hunter students!
