School background: Arcadia Elementary is located in the west-central area of Granite School District. Arcadia opened in 1967.
Technology *Arcadia has four eMints classrooms with 15 desktops computers in each classroom *A mini lab with 10 desktop computers for student projects *Research centers are in the library. Classes have scheduled time in the two complete technology labs for learning and practice. There are three mini labs in the upper classrooms which use laptop computers for students. *Computers are used for all subject areas. *Each teacher has a computer for professional use. *Mimeo technology in classrooms K – 3, together with three classroom sets of iPods; several iPads for teacher use
Programs in use: Imagine It! Reading; Go Math; Imagine Learning online; online writing; five components of reading instruction; school assessment; Interconnections; Utah Behavior Initiative Program to establish school-wide behavior expectations to promote learning. Assessment with DIBELS, Acuity Benchmarks, Universal Screeners & Progress Monitoring, and online CRTs
