Calvin Smith Elementary is located in the south central area of Granite School District. It was built in 1979 to serve the growing population of the Bennion area. Calvin Smith is mainly a walking school, but busing is provided for students living in our boundaries east of Redwood Road and in the Harvey Heights neighborhood.
Smith Elementary serves approximately 570 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. We also house one preschool classroom.
Computers and technology All classrooms are equipped with ceiling mounted LCD projectors and a sound system. All students have a Chromebook to use in class and SMARTboards are used in classrooms to enhance student learning. Our School Technology Specialist is in the building for support 10 or more days each month.
