Dear Cottonwood Families,
February is the month of Valentine’s Day when people express their affection for their loved ones. Well, I’d like to tell you what I love about our Cottonwood students!
I love how their faces light up when they struggle with a hard concept and then finally understand.
I love to watch their eyes sparkle and smile when the mask covers their other smile.
I love how kind, caring, and inclusive they are to each other.
I love to watch them play at recess: they run, they laugh, they have the most wonderful time being together.
I love how they encourage each other when schoolwork gets hard.
I love how giving and generous they are to others.
I love how welcoming they are to new students.
I love how loyal they are: to their families, to friends, and to their teacher.
I love how respectful and responsible they are.
Are they perfect? Not quite. But each one of us has room for improvement and that’s a good thing! Each day we will try harder to be a little better than we were the day before! That’s called growth, and we love it!
