Cottonwood Parents,
I hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful Spring Break! With the return from the break, our staff will begin the process of creating next year’s classroom lists. We are hesitant to allow requests. We work hard to divide classrooms in a fair and equitable way, separate students that should not be together and try to put students with a teacher that we believe would be the best fit. We hope you can all trust that we have each and every one of your children’s best interest in mind and will make the class lists to reflect that. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please email me by April 23rd. We are sad to see several changes with our faculty. We will be losing Ms. Mills, Ms. Homer, Ms. Peake, Ms. Kirk, and Ms. McAndrews. We wish them luck on their next grand adventure!
We have had several issues with dogs on our school grounds. We have put up signs all along our property to ensure the safety of our students that state no dogs are allowed during school hours and that after school hours, dogs are required to be on a leash at all times. We want to make our playground and field a safe place for both children and dogs and reminding your friends and neighbors of these rules will help us accomplish this goal.
Kindergarten registration is here! If you have not come to the office to get registered for next year, now is the time! Jen and Kelly would be happy to help you and get your student set up for next year. You can come to the office or call the school with any questions.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude for our teachers and staff at Cottonwood. What a wonderful job they are doing keeping students engaged, learning and excited about school each day during this crazy year. We are so lucky to have such a hardworking group of individuals. I hope each of you can show your gratitude in some way or another. Happy Spring everyone!
