Thursday will be our annual field day. Children will be outside all afternoon participating in many activities. We will also be offering a barbeque lunch on Thursday provided by school food services. Friday is the last day of the school year. We will be signing yearbooks, having a special "brunch" lunch menu, and presenting awards at our awards assembly. School will then be dismissed at 1:15. Souper Bowl of Caring
Our PTA helped us participate with a fundraiser for the Souper Bowl of Caring. We were able to collect $2,475 and 960 food items. Early release day
As this is the last week of the school term, there will be no school on Friday. Thursday will be an early release day with school dismissing at 1:05. The new Friday schedule does not start until the new term which makes January 20 the first day of the new dismissal time of 1:15. ...
Winter Break
Our annual Cottonwood Christmas Program will be Thursday, December 22. Grades k-3 will perform at 9:00 AM with grades 4-6 performing at 10:00. 5th Grade Service Learning
Our 5th grade participated in a service learning project in which they donated "turkey boxes" to the Salt Lake Road Home. Their goal was to donate 25 turkey boxes. Instead they were able to make 52 "turkey boxes" , plus and additional 20 bags of food. We want to thank our wonderful students and their parents for their generous donations. Thanksgiving Break
School will be closed November 23 - 25 for Thanksgiving recess. Tuesday, November 22, will be a shortened school day. School will dismiss at 1:05 pm on that day. Morning Kindergarten will begin at the usual time and will dismiss at 10:35 AM. Afternoon Kindergarten hours will be 11:10 - 1:05 PM. Santa shop is back again this year! Red, White, and Blue week
Red, white, and blue ribbon week is November 7-11. It's hip to be drug free - dress like a hippie on Monday. Tuesday is patriot day - students dress in red, white, and blue. Wednesday is "drugs can't find me!" - students wear camouflage clothes. Too much tv, internet, and social media is a snooze on Thursday - pajama day.
