This is an optional form. Please proceed to next page if you do not wish to run for Community Council.

Our school community council elections are coming up fast. Most patrons are not aware of what school community councils are and what they do. Our local school community council is a committee made up of parents and teachers who work to address and enhance our academic and learning environment here in our community.

The time commitment is around an hour a month for a regularly scheduled monthly meeting through the school year. Our council reviews data, sets goals and allocates funds to improve academic achievement. We also work to ensure a safe learning environment for our students.

If we have more candidates than vacancies on our council, then state law requires an election. We sincerely appreciate your interest in providing needed feedback and input in our school.

Please complete and bring the Community Council Declaration of Candidacy form into the main office.
