Dear Parents,
I hope this email finds you and your family well, these are certainly strange times we are living in. I wanted to reach out with some information that I hope will be helpful to you.
- We have received clarification about fourth quarter grades. Please see this link for more information. https://www.graniteschools.org/bulletin/4th-quarter-grading-adjustments/
- Granite School District is sending out a portion of our school bus fleet to serve as Wi-Fi hotspots for students during the dismissal. These specially configured buses will be parked in various high-density residential locations throughout the district from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on school days to boost our Wi-Fi signal. Please see the attachment for instructions on how to connect to district Wi-Fi buses and a map showing where the buses will be located.
- Ms. Whitlock, our school social worker, is standing by to assist your child with any anxiety or mental health concerns they are experiencing. Please reach out to her at jwhitlock@graniteschools.org, she is happy to speak with you and your child online and help them work through their concerns.
- Ms. Reed and Ms. Brady are ready to check in your child’s library books. Please drop your student’s library book off at the school, there is a collection box in the entryway.
- We were disappointed to hear the recent news that the school soft closure will be continuing throughout the remainder of the school year. We know that your child has personal items here that we need to return to you, information will be coming in the next few weeks about how we will manage Chromebook check-in/picking up personal items.
- You are welcome to return completed student work to the office. Each teacher has a box at the front of the office with their name on it, please put completed student work in their teacher’s box.
We miss seeing the students around the building and in classrooms each day. Please share this short video with your student(s) and please let them know that we miss them! https://youtu.be/mVUSpqg4eYU
Thank you.
