Pick-up/Drop-off Plan

Dear Parents,

Morningside is uniquely situated on our lot which makes pick-up and drop-off procedures very important to ensure student safety is prioritized while also making the process as efficient as we can for families.

Due to safety issues with the south side area brought forward by the city, the school and the Community Council worked together to make some changes to our pick-up and drop-off procedures. Here are the updated procedures:

South Area

• Drop-off and pick-up will no longer be allowed on the south side of the building.

1. Use crosswalks. Do not double park, let children off in traffic, or encourage them to walk between cars.
2. Parking is not allowed in the coned-off areas along Bluebell. These spaces are necessary for bus maneuvering.

Northeast (Church-Owned) Parking Lot

1. The coned-off area is for drop-off and pick-up, not for parking.
2. Please follow the driving paths designated with green arrows and walking paths designated in blue arrows.
3. This lot has four entrances. Three are designated as entrances and one is designated as exit only. Please see the diagrams below.

Northwest (School-Owned) Parking Lot

1. Park only in marked stalls.
2. Follow painted traffic flow pattern; utilize full length of sidewalk for pick-up and drop-off.

West (Front of the School) Parking Lot

1. The west lot is only for faculty parking and pick-up/drop-off using visitor parking stalls during school hours.
