Community Council Elections
It’s almost time for Community Council elections. This year, we have two open parent positions and three interested candidates. Principal Drummond will be sending a link to our Oakridge Community Council election ballot on Wednesday morning. Our election will run from Wednesday, September 16 through the evening of Friday, September 18.
School Picture Day
Tuesday, September 22 is School Picture Day. Bell Photography will be creating a schedule of when specific classes will have their pictures taken. Each student will have an individual photo taken. These individual photos will be used to create to a class composite.
Distance learners are invited to have their picture taken during their scheduled class time. If families have multiple children participating in distance learning, they can attend during a class time that is most convenient for them.
Look for a detailed schedule and more information to come in the next day or two. Remember, big smiles!
Student Educator Parent (SEP) Conferences
SEP Conferences will take place on on Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24. As with many things, they will look different this year. They will be conducted virtually or over the phone. Please work with your child’s teacher regarding which option will be better for you.
Our SEP Scheduler is now open. To schedule an appointment:
- Go to our school website
- Click on the Online Scheduler icon
- Find ‘Oakridge Elementary’ in the dropdown menu
- Enter our school password (olympians)
- Enter your student’s ID (his/her ‘9’ number)
There will be no kindergarten classes on Wednesday, September 23.
Thursday, September 24 will be a Distance Learning day for ALL students.
We will not have school on Friday, September 25.
