Picture Day
Tomorrow is Picture Day! Distance learners are invited to have their picture taken during their scheduled class time. If families have multiple children participating in distance learning, they can attend when it is most convenient for them (between 9 am and 1 pm.) Picture Retakes will be November 17.
SEP Conferences
Our SEP Conferences are this week! All conferences will be virtual, over the phone, or via e-mail. To schedule an appointment:
- Go to our school website
- Click on the Online Scheduler icon
- Find ‘Oakridge Elementary’ in the dropdown menu
- Enter our school password (olympians)
- Enter your student’s ID (his/her ‘9’ number)
School Book Fair
Our Book Fair is online from September 21 to October 4! Support our school and help your child discover new books, favorite characters, value packs, and more! Calendar Update
As a reminder, the Granite District Board of Education updated the elementary school calendar. Instead of Planning Days, we will have Distance Learning days on the last school day of the week – even if it is a short week. This will take place until further notice. Thursday, September 24 is a Distance Learning day.
Free Lunches!
Federal funding will pay for school lunches for enrolled students until December 31, or until funding runs out! This means that Oakridge students – both in person and distance learners – can have free lunches. In person students can get a free lunch during their regular lunch time, or between 10:30 am and 11:30 am on Distance Learning days. Distance Learners may come pick up a free lunch on school days between 10:30 am and 11:30 am.
Flu Shots
Community Nursing Services will be providing flu shots for families on Friday, October 2 between 11 am and 2 pm! CNS can bill your insurance, so bring your card if you have one. Be sure to wear a mask, and be prepared to answer some COVID screening questions. Those receiving flu shots can go directly to the gymnasium.
