Dear Oakridge families,
We hope you are having an enjoyable Friday. Our teachers have been hard at work increasing their capacity today. As we prepare for next week, I wanted to update you on a couple of things.
Student Educator Parent (SEP) Conferences
It’s time to sign up for SEP Conferences. These will take place on Wednesday, September 29 and Thursday, September 30 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Conferences will be held in person, unless otherwise requested. No kindergarten classes will be held on Wednesday, September 29 so our kindergarten teachers can meet with all families of students they teach.
Granite School District is using a new conference scheduling system, pickAtime. Instructions on how to create an account and schedule an appointment are available at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wtc4Idjs3LKZ_Rq9IlXP-MCTHqKT8hz_/view. You will need to know your child’s student number (beginning with 9) and birthday. You can use the Conference Scheduler button on our website to access the new system. If you have any difficulties, please contact the school for assistance.
Security Upgrade Construction
Access to the front doors by the office will be closed on Monday, September 20 and Tuesday, September 21. All students, patrons, and visitors will need to enter the school through the south doors. Look for signs that direct you where to go. You can continue to use the front parking and student drop off area, just be prepared for a longer walk to access the school.
I appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these construction situations and complications. We look forward to when our security update is complete.
September Spirit Day
Our September Spirit Day is Friday, September 24. Show school spirit by wearing one color. The Student Leadership Team and I are excited to see which color you choose.
Our Oakridge Olympians have had a great start to the 2021-2022 school year! Thank you for being an essential part of our community.
