Oakridge Community-
We are excited to celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 29. As a reminder, we will be parading for families and friends outside the building. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and remember to dress warmly. We ask that you appropriately distance yourself and we STRONGLY RECOMMEND wearing masks at all school events, indoors or out.
Students will begin parading through the school at 9:00 a.m., then walk out the front doors and around the lower playground. We anticipate being outside around 9:10 a.m. Please keep the sidewalks and designated path clear. After parading outside, our students will parade inside the school one more time. Our main office doors will be locked until the parade is over. Any wonderful volunteers helping with class activities or carnival setup need to check-in at the main office and get a visitor sticker.
Please remember the following when deciding on a costume:
- Costumes must be school appropriate.
- Costumes should not interfere with learning.
- Eyes should remain uncovered (no full face masks or eye masks)
- Dress in something that is comfortable to sit in all day at a desk.
- Wear something that allows for movement in the classroom and hallways and at recess.
- Costumes may not include accessories/props that look like a weapon or could be used as a weapon.
- Arrive to school in costume and remain dressed up throughout the day.
Our Fall Carnival will also be on Friday, October 29 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on our upper field. We hope you can join us for this community-wide event.
Thank you for helping everyone to have a fun and safe day.
