Dear Oakridge Families,
The weather will be changing this weekend. Please send your children to school dressed for the cold temperatures. On Monday morning our fourth grade students will be attending a fieldtrip to watch the symphony. Monday afternoon we will have an assembly performance by the Jump Rope team, Just Jumpin’ from Cache Valley. Following the assembly, the team will be selling jump ropes for individual purchase. I have attached a flyer if you would like to buy a jump rope. They will only be available to purchase from the team immediately following the assembly. Your children will love the jump rope team!
Our Spanish program will begin on Monday. We had a huge response and created a wait list for students who did not get a spot. Mrs. Fusaro will be taking roll for the class each day. If students miss more than 3 classes, their spot will be given to a student on the wait list. I realize you may have vacations or situations arise where your child may be absent. You can contact myself or Mrs. Fusaro to discuss individual circumstances. We want to provide this opportunity to as many students as possible.
I will be hosting my principal/parent meeting on Wednesday, October 26th at 8:00am. During this meeting I will be sharing information on the continual school improvement plan process in Granite School District and information regarding our school plan for the current school year. The last part of this meeting is an open question and answer time to discuss topics you request.
Next Friday is the end of the term. Thursday is an early release day since there is no school for students on Friday.
Please return your child’s comfort kit to their teacher by Monday, October 31st. The teachers will be keeping these kits in their rooms to use in the event of an emergency. The PTA has helped update the classroom kits with some basic supplies. The comfort kits are items for each individual student to have in addition to the classroom kit. Unused items in the kits will be returned to you at the end of the year.
Enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
Mrs. Bergera
