Dear Oakridge Families,
We have had a busy week at school. It was a blast celebrating Read Across America Week. We celebrated our February Students of the Month during an assembly. During our assemblies, we are learning cheers to help build a united school community and school spirit. Tamara Bell conducted the Meet the Masters Assembly introducing the Japanese artist, Hokusai. We had several parents volunteering in the classrooms to complete the Meet the Masters projects and help out in other ways. Thank you for all of your help!
Our students are fortunate to have time in the Oakridge art studio with Melissa Chang. Some classes have been working on creating their own landscapes using tempera paints, portraits and animals, and shadows. It is amazing to see their creativity and talent displayed throughout the development of their projects. Melissa would love to hear what your children are sharing about their experiences in the art studio. mschang@graniteschools.org
The contractors are currently installing the Box Lights in our classrooms. We are thrilled to have these in our classrooms. Thank you again for your generous donations and support to help us make this happen.
Best,
Mrs. Bergera
