The aim of the visual arts program at Oakridge Elementary is to encourage, to inspire, to teach the diversity of the arts, and to have fun while creating. Our art program correlates with the Core arts curriculum, as well as the different core subjects studied in our school.
During the year, every student has the opportunity to work with clay and develop a finished, glazed, ceramic piece. With the use of different mediums, students explore their personal visions and create two-dimensional arts.
In May, our Art Booster Club holds an annual Art Night. The funds raised at this event cover the cost of our art specialist, art supplies, and Tanner Dance. You can find more information at https://oakridgeartnight.wordpress.com/.
