School News – October 15, 2021
Stansbury Families,
Happy October! Thank you so very much for your continued support with our morning drop-off in our parking lot. We appreciate you parking in a stall and walking your child to their class. This has been a big help in keeping the cars moving and everyone safe.
Next week will be our Fall Recess. Wednesday, October 20 will be an early out day and students will be dismissed at 1:15 pm. Thursday and Friday, October 21 and 22 and Fall Recess days and there is no school those days. Enjoy your fall break!
The end of first quarter will be on Monday, October 25th and there will be no school for students on this day. Students will return on Tuesday, October 26th.
Halloween-
- We will celebrate Halloween this year on Friday, October 29th beginning at 9:30 am. We will be holding an outdoor parade for those families wishing to attend. Please bring your own chairs if you’d like to sit along the student parade route at the back of our school. Please know that parents will not be allowed in the building before or after the parade as we are still following the Covid safety guidelines.
- Please send your student to school in their costume. Please send additional clothes if they would like to change after the parade.
- Full face-masks for costumes will not be allowed. Masks to protect from Covid and strongly recommended.
- Weapons that go along with costumes will not be allowed.
- Please make sure that your child’s costume is school appropriate. They will be asked to change if the costume is not appropriate.
Our next Community Council and PTA meeting will be held on Monday, November 15th at 9:00 am. Please join us either in-person or by Zoom. We appreciate parent participation in helping our students achieve their goals.

¡Feliz octubre! Muchas gracias por su continuo apoyo con nuestra entrega matutina en nuestro estacionamiento. Agradecemos que se estacione en un puesto y acompañe a su hijo a su clase. Esto ha sido de gran ayuda para mantener los autos en movimiento y para todos a salvo.
La próxima semana será nuestro receso de otoño. El miércoles 20 de octubre será un día de salida temprano y los estudiantes saldrán a la 1:15 pm. Jueves y viernes, 21 y 22 de octubre y días de vacaciones de otoño y no hay clases esos días. ¡Disfruta tus vacaciones de otoño!
El final del primer trimestre será el lunes 25 de octubre y no habrá clases para los estudiantes ese día. Los estudiantes regresarán el martes 26 de octubre.
Víspera de Todos los Santos-
- Celebraremos Halloween este año el viernes 29 de octubre a las 9:30 am. Realizaremos un desfile al aire libre para aquellas familias que deseen asistir. Por favor traiga sus propias sillas si desea sentarse a lo largo de la ruta del desfile de estudiantes en la parte trasera de nuestra escuela. Tenga en cuenta que los padres no podrán ingresar al edificio antes o después del desfile, ya que seguimos las pautas de seguridad de Covid.
- Por favor envíe a su estudiante a la escuela con su disfraz. Por favor envíe ropa adicional si les gustaría cambiarse después del desfile.
- No se permitirán máscaras completas para disfraces. Solo máscaras para proteger de Covid y muy recomendadas.
- No se permitirán armas que acompañen a los disfraces.
- Asegúrese de que el disfraz de su hijo sea apropiado para la escuela. Se les pedirá que se cambien si el disfraz no es apropiado.

School News – October 8, 2021
We want to thank you for all of your recycled donations to our STEM lab. We have had a great amount supplied and at this time we do not need any more donations. Our students will be using the supplies as they learn in the STEM lab.

We want and encourage your participation and feedback in how we use our Land Trust funds. It’s a great way to be involved and have a say in your child’s education. You can visit our school website and look at our agenda for this month.
THANK YOU so much for your help with our morning drop-off in our parking lot. We appreciate your help to keep our drop-off line moving and parking in a stall when you want to walk your child to their class. It has been a tremendous help in keeping the flow moving and keeping everyone safe.
We are still HIRING. If you or anyone you know is interested in working in a dynamic, fun, wonderful Title I school please tell them to contact the principal, Mrs. Trujillo at 385-646-5032. We need playground aides, morning playground aides, and paraeducators. Hours could be from 10-29 hours per week. It’s the best place to work!

Now Hiring and Parking Lot Information
Hello Stansbury Families,
We are having a great September. We enjoy seeing your children each day and appreciate all you’re doing to keep them healthy and coming to school on time.
We are currently hiring for a few positions at our school. We really could use the help and so please share this information with anyone who you think would like to work at our school. It’s a wonderful place to work! We are hiring for the following positions:
AM Playground Aide: This position would be from 8:00 am – 8:45 am each school day. We are looking for parents who would like to work a few hours each week helping to monitor our students and help keep them safe before school. JobID: 5174
Lunchtime Playground Aide: This position would be from 11:40 am – 1:40 pm. The hours can be adjusted if necessary. Again, this position would require to be outside monitoring recess and helping our students stay safe. JobID: 5174
Classroom Paraeducators: This position is flexible and can work up to 29 hours a week. There would be training involved to help our students in their classrooms and working with our teachers. We work both on reading and math skills. We are looking for English speaking and Spanish speaking paraeducators. We welcome all that want to work with us. JobID: 5175

PARKING LOT EXPECTATIONS & SAFETY PLAN: Please see the attached Parking Lot Map. We really need your help to keep all of our students safe. Please DO NOT park on in the Drop Off Zone. This is for loading and unloading students only. If you’d like to walk your student to their class, please park in a parking spot. We really appreciate your help following our parking lot expectations.

Welcome Back to School Reminders
Welcome Back to School…Important Reminders for Stansbury Students:
We are excited to welcome our students back for the 2021-2022 school year! We are fortunate to have backpacks and school supplies donated from Intercap Lending. All students will receive a backpack and bag of supplies on the first day of school. Students may bring their own water bottle to school to fill at our water stations. Make sure to write your child’s name on it.
Students in grades 1st-6th start school on Monday, August 16th. Kindergarten starts on Thursday, August 19th. Please be on time to school and ready to learn. School starts at 8:35 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.
Remember our school rules are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. As with last school year, Granite School District will follow guidance and direction from state and local health departments. Per health department recommendations, masks are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED for all students and staff while indoors. We look forward to a great year of student learning and growth!

Bienvenido de nuevo a la escuela… Recordatorios importantes para los estudiantes de Stansbury:
¡Estamos muy contentos de darles la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes para el año escolar 2021-2022! Tenemos la suerte de tener mochilas y útiles escolares donados por Intercap Lending. Todos los estudiantes recibirán una mochila y una bolsa de útiles el primer día de clases. Los estudiantes pueden traer su propia botella de agua a la escuela para llenarla en nuestras estaciones de agua. Asegúrese de escribir el nombre de su hijo en él.
Los estudiantes de 1º a 6º grado comienzan la escuela el lunes 16 de agosto. El Kinder comienza el jueves 19 de agosto. Llegue a tiempo a la escuela y esté listo para aprender. La escuela comienza a las 8:35 a.m. y termina a las 3:20 p.m.
Recuerde que nuestras reglas escolares son: Sea Respetuoso, Sea Responsable y Sea Seguro. Al igual que el año escolar pasado, el Distrito Escolar de Granite seguirá la orientación y dirección de los departamentos de salud estatales y locales. De acuerdo con las recomendaciones del departamento de salud, se ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADO el uso de máscaras para todos los estudiantes y el personal en el interior. ¡Esperamos tener un gran año de aprendizaje y crecimiento estudiantil!

Back to School Registration
Don’t forget!!! Registration is tomorrow, Thursday, August 5th. Come register between 9 am-12 pm or 3-6 pm. ALL returning and new students need to register. Come find out your teacher, update your contact information, sign up for free/reduced lunch, PTA, and learn about preschool. We look forward to seeing you.
