Just a friendly reminder that all students will be distance learning tomorrow, Thursday, September 24th. This means that no students will attend school face-to-face on Thursday. All learning will be done from home. Your child will either bring home a Chromebook on Wednesday or a packet of work to do on Thursday. Face-to-face students will need to bring their Chromebooks back to school on Monday. There is no school on Friday, September 25^th.

Thanks for another great week and for participating in virtual SEPs! If you have questions about SEPs, please email your child’s teacher.

Solo un recordatorio amistoso de que todos los estudiantes aprenderán a distancia mañana, jueves 24 de septiembre. Esto significa que ningún estudiante asistirá a la escuela personalmente el jueves. SEPs will take place on September 23^rd and 24^th from 3:30-7:00. Please sign up for a time to do a virtual meeting with your student’s teacher. You will get specific details with a link from the teacher, and more information once all of the conferences have been scheduled. ​This conference may be held via Zoom, Google Meet, email, or a phone call. 

The window to sign-up for a time is Wednesday, September 16 – Sunday, September 20. Most teachers are using the Online Scheduler to schedule conferences, but they may have contacted you to sign-up a different way. For the online scheduler, use the links to assist you in signing up for a conference time. The password is stansbury.

Thursday, September 24th is a distance learning day for all students. No students will attend face-to-face that day. There will be no school on Friday, September 25th.

Hello Stansbury Families,

Monday, August 24th is the first day of school for face-to-face students in grades 1-6. School starts at 8:35 a.m. Class lists and teachers are posted on the school’s front windows. 

For those students who are doing distance learning, we will do Chromebook check-out on Tuesday, August 25th. The schedule is as follows:

9:00-10:00 Grades 1st and 2nd

11:00-12:00 Grades 3rd and 4th

1:00-2:00 Grades 5th and 6th

If you have children in multiple grades, you may come at the time most convenient for you. Kindergarten Chromebook check-out will be on Thursday, August 27th from 9:00-10:00.

The Granite School District Board of Education approved a change to the elementary school service pattern during a special meeting on Monday, August 17. The elementary school schedule will be similar to the secondary schedule for in-person instruction – Monday through Thursday face-to-face learning with Fridays reserved for teacher planning and distance learning for all students.  Please call the main office if you have any questions.

La junta de educación del Distrito Escolar de Granite aprobó un cambio en el patrón de servicio de la escuela primaria durante una reunión especial el lunes Agosto 17. El horario de las escuelas primarias será similar al de las secundarias para la instrucción en persona. De lunes a jueves el aprendizaje presencial con los viernes reservados para la planificación de los maestros y el aprendizaje a distancia para todos los estudiantes. Hello Stansbury Patrons,

I wanted to get out some information that should be helpful for the start of the school year on Monday August 24^th. Thank you for your patience in waiting for this crucial information.

Class lists:

We will be posting our class lists/teacher assignments for face to face students and distance learners on Thursday 8/20 after 12 pm. The lists will be near our front entrance on the windows. We will put the teachers’ email on the list so that you can contact them, if needed. You are welcome to call the school, at any time to get your students teacher assignment as well and get general updates, if needed. Our phone number is 385-646-5032.

Drop off and pickup:

This year, we would like for those who bring their students to the school in cars, to stay in your car until you get to the drop off spot, where we will greet you and your students and help them to their lines by their grade level doors. When they line up, we will have dots for them to stand on to help with social distancing. ALL students will need to be wearing their masks as they arrive and line up whether you are walking to school or coming in a car.

We will be letting our students leave our building at the end of the day (pickup), at staggered times so that we minimize the students in the hallways, at one time. So, that means that your students may be leaving our school grounds a little bit before 3:20 pm and at various times. Please plan accordingly.

Classroom procedures

We have put many steps in place to make sure that students are safe in our classrooms. We have upgraded our air filters in our building to medical grade filters to help with air flow. We also will have our classroom doors open, at all times, to help with airflow in the classroom. We will be having students wash their hands in the classroom at various times throughout the day. We also have cleaning solution and rags that will be used in the classrooms to wipe down individual surfaces when needed. Our cleaning crew will also wipe down touch points throughout the day and will be using an electrostatic sprayer that disinfects all surfaces. Students are expected to wear their masks at all times in the classroom. They are welcome to wear face fields if you have one but will also need to have their masks on as well. Our water fountains cannot be used at this time so if you can send your student with a water bottle that would be great, they can fill them up at our sinks in the classroom. We are also working on getting bottles for each student but would gladly accept your help with this.

Cafeteria

We will be bringing students into the cafeteria at staggered times. We are also having them sit apart from each other and not facing each other. They will be assigned seating in the cafeteria. They can take their masks off while eating. We are having students put their masks on lanyards, that stay around their necks, so that they don’t lose their masks. They will be able to go outside and play, in their grade level designated areas, without their masks. Upon entering the building, they will need to put their masks back on.

Distance learning

We may not be able to get the distance students up and going on Monday, however we will get you information soon that will help with the delivery of distance learning, shortly. We are setting up times next week when you can come to our building and get a chromebook if needed, and the necessary codes to access the google classrooms from each teacher/grade level.

Cafetería

Podrán salir y jugar, en las áreas designadas de su nivel de grado, sin sus máscaras. Al ingresar al edificio, deberán volver a ponerse las máscaras.

La educación a distancia

Es posible que no podamos conseguir que los estudiantes a distancia se pongan en marcha el lunes, sin embargo, pronto le daremos información que ayudará con la entrega del aprendizaje a distancia, en breve. La semana que viene estamos programando horarios en los que puede venir a nuestro edificio y obtener un Chromebook si es necesario, y los códigos necesarios para acceder a las aulas de Google desde cada maestro / nivel de grado.

Hello Parents,

On Monday May 11^th or Tuesday May 12^th from 7:30-4:30, you will be able to pick up your child’s belongings that were left here at the school. Please stay in your car and form a line in front of the school entrance just as we have done for packet distribution.  Please have a sign that is visibly marked with your child’s teacher and your child’s names so that we can retrieve their personal belongings rapidly.

If you borrowed a Chromebook from Stansbury, please hold on to those for now so that your child can continue with their online work.  We will let you know when you can turn those in.
