Please find a spot along the parade route (practicing social distancing, of course) and cheer with our administration, faculty, and staff, as we cheer for you! If you’d like, feel free to make posters and signs with words of encouragement and love! We’ll have signs on our cars for you! If you’d like to make an extra sign acknowledging our teachers who will be leaving us next year, feel free. 😊

UPDATE
Hello Crestview Families-
I wanted to let you know that our teachers are working like crazy to prepare online and remote education for you and your student.
You will probably be bombared with emails from the school and your student’s teachers today and tomorrow as we prepare for remote learning.
Thank you for checking email often and replying to requests as soon as possible. An email was sent today between about 9:45-10:15 from your child’s teacher as well as one from the school with the subject line CV eBlast Please Respond ASAP Distance Learning. This email is extremely important for you to read and complete the online survey. This will help us best prepare to help your student. It is imperative that, if you can, pick up a chromebook for each student. The benefit is that these are their chromebooks that they use daily. Students already have links and prepopulated accounts and passwords. If you already filled out the form and now want a chromebook, please fill out a new form. As a positive to this, Xfinity is offering free wifi. We believe all you do is click on Xfinity from your settings option on the device.
On Wednesday, parents will be invited to visit the school between 8:45-1:00 to pick up materials. If you are checking out a chrome book, a parent must be present to sign to take the device. If necessary, you may send a signed note allowing another adult to pick up the device for you, each child will need their own note. Please include in your signed note, for each child, that you will be responsible for the chrome book and any damages that may happen to it while in your care.
We do have a lot of parents who will be visiting. With the new recommendation to not gather in large groups, we will be limiting the number of adults who can enter the building. We ask that you leave students at home and only adults come to the school. You will enter the building through gym doors that lead to the east parking lot. Please understand that most likely you will be standing in a line outside the building. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. This is not a time for you to hold a parent conference with your child’s teacher or chit-chat. We have a short window of time and want to get materials distributed as quickly as possible. We will be enforcing the “in-out-and on your way” rule.
Wednesday is the only day that we will have available for you to collect materials. Again, it must be an adult who comes to get these materials.
Thank you again,
Mrs. Cooper
Material Request
Dear Crestview Families-
You should all be receiving an email from your child(ren)’s teachers within the next 30 minutes or so asking you to fill out the following form so that we can best prepare for the next two weeks of school. If you already received their email and competed the form, please disregard this email.
As soon as possible, TODAY (Monday, March 16th), please click HERE to complete the form so we can get materials prepared for your child.
Chromebook computers or packets will be available on Wednesday for pick up, we apologize but we will not be prepared to distribute sooner.
If you have any questions, please email your child’s teacher directly. Their emails and website information can be found by clicking: School Faculty.
Thank you!
COVID-19 Update
Due to COVID-19 all students in Utah schools (Including Crestview) will be dismissed from attendance beginning on March 16, 2020. It is expected that school will resume on March 30, 2020.
Crestview educators will be working on Monday 3/16 and Tuesday 3/17 to prepare “distance learning” opportunities and activities so that our students can continue their academic progress. Crestview does not yet have all the details worked out for this distance learning program. Updates and plans will be shared with the students, parents, and community as soon as possible. For now, we know that online / distance learning will begin for students on Wednesday, March 18th. For now, we ask that students read a minimum of 20 minutes daily, work on math facts, and do physical activities. If you do not have access to a computer for your student, Chromebooks will be available for checkout from 8:45am – 1:00pm on Wednesday the 18th. Parents must check out in person and sign a check out and waiver form. Parents that wish not to utilize computers during this time can come and pick up a packet of work for your students during the same time frame. Watch for emails to be sent from your child’s teacher that will allow you to request online or packet work on Monday. It is imperative that you reply to this email on Monday so that teachers can adequately prepare for the needs of their students.
“Grab & Go” breakfast and lunches will be available for students every day that school would normally have been in session beginning Monday 3/16. Students can go to any Granite School District school closest to them to receive meals. Crestview plans to hand out breakfast from 8:05-8:35 and lunch from 11:30am-12:30 pm. Please enter through the main office doors to pick up these meals. Students will not be allowed inside the building to eat lunch. We have wonderful parent volunteers who are willing to bring meals to homes of students who do not have a way to get to school. Please call the school if you are in need, 385-646-4804. There will be no charge for these meals.
Check back to our website often as information is always changing. Thank you for your cooperation and help at this time. We have an amazing Crestview community!
COVID-19 Update
Dear Crestview Families,
The direction we have received from that state, is that schools should remain open, if at all possible, because of the unique impact on our total community when school is closed. We are taking proactive steps to help keep our school clean and disinfected. We are encouraging frequent hand washing, hand sanitizing, coughing/sneezing in arms, using tissues, etc.
Per guidelines, large school events, including assemblies and field trips, will be canceled until further notice.
We will limit the number of students who will be together during lunches and recess to abide by the guide of no more than 100 people in close proximity. The following lunch and recess schedules will begin tomorrow.
Kindergarten: Recesses 10:45 and 1:30
First Grade: Recess 9:15; Lunch 11:00 / Recess 11:15; Recess 1:00
Second Grade: Recess 9:30; Lunch 11:15 / Recess 11:35; Recess 1:15
Third Grade: Recess 9:45; Lunch 11:35 / Recess 11:50; Recess 1:45
Fourth Grade: Recess 10:00; Lunch 11:50 / Recess 12:10; Recess 2:00
Fifth Grade: Recess 10:15; Lunch 12:10 / Recess 12:25; Recess 2:15
Sixth Grade: Recess 10:30; Lunch 12:25 / Recess 12:45; Recess 2:30
*As always, students that still need time to finish their lunch in the cafeteria will be permitted to stay in and finish before going out to recess.
The best way to prevent the spread of disease continues to be thorough and appropriate hand washing, avoiding touching your face, and staying home when ill. Additionally, any coughing or sneezing should be done into the elbow as opposed to hands. We would highly encourage your family to discuss proper hand washing techniques and respiratory etiquette.
In any circumstance, parents should always make decisions in the best interest of their families. Please contact the school if your child will be staying home. We are committed to providing education and instruction in the safest manner possible.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Teri Ann Cooper
Principal
