Hi Eastwood Families –
I hope you had a fun and safe Labor Day, it was good to see all the kiddos back today.
If you are interested in having your 3rd, 4th or 5th grader participate in band or orchestra, please check out the attached flyer and YouTube videos.
As COVID-19 case counts continue to rise, remember that while masks are not required they are HIGHLY recommended. Please help us to keep our kiddos and staff safe by watching for any symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, new loss of taste or smell, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea) and keeping students home if they are sick.
You received an email from Granite School District with information about COVID-19 testing. I still do not have all the answers to questions that have been sent to me, I actually received the email 2 hours after it was sent to families. I am hoping to receive further instructions in my principals’ meeting tomorrow morning and will share any relevant answers. One piece of information I was able to find, the testing permission would be in effect if Eastwood hits a threshold of 15 positive COVID students/staff then testing would begin on a “Test to Stay” protocol.
Thanks for all you do in keeping Eastwood EPIC!
Naomi Hopf – principal
