Just a few items to share today, I know you are disappointed. 😉
Our SEP Conferences are Wednesday, September 29 from 4:00-7:00 and on Thursday 30th from 3:30-6:30. Please schedule your appointments soon. Because of SEP’s when teachers work twelve plus hours per day, there will be no school on Friday, October 1, 2021. That makes Thursday the 30th a planning day. On that day (and every planning day, that occur the last day of attendance each week) we will begin call students out to cars at 1:00 PM. Also, on Wednesday, September 28th there will be NO SCHOOL for KINDERGARTEN students ONLY, including NO Academy.
October calendar events of note:
Friday, Oct. 1st – No School
Monday, Oct. 4th – Vision Screening for all kindergarteners, 1st graders, 3rd graders and 5th graders. If you would like to have your 2nd or 4th grade student participate in this, please notify your child’s teacher.
Friday, Oct. 8th – SOAR Reward activity Side Walk Chalk! This is for all students who have not received more than one Choose to Soar in the previous month. A Choose to SOAR is our discipline reflection form given to students who display inappropriate behaviors. These reward activities will occur once per month.
Tuesday, Oct. 12th – PTA meeting in the new conference room at 8:30 AM.
Monday, Oct. 18th – Community Council meeting – at 8:00 AM
Wednesday, Oct. 20th – Planning Day schedule
Thursday, Friday & Monday, Oct. 21st, 22nd & 25th – No School for Fall Recess
Thursday, Oct. 28th – Fall Picture Day
Friday, Oct. 29th Halloween Parade. If the weather is nice, we will hold this outside and you are invited to attend. If the weather is not cooperating, we will tape the parade and post it on our website.
