The Eastwood Elementary Science and Engineering Fair will be taking place in the gym on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. All students are invited to enter. The science fair is mandatory for the fourth grade. Fifth grade students are eligible to advance to the Granite School District Science Fair.
There are two types of projects, science and engineering. Science projects require that you conduct your own experiment. With engineering projects you construct a prototype, or model. Links follow with simplified directions for grades K-3, as well as more comprehensive instructions from the Granite School District, which are more appropriate for grades 4 and 5.
Some classes have done projects together, although we still encourage students to do their own project at home.
Science boards are available at the school, one per student.
If you would like to volunteer to judge the science fair on January 11, here is a link to a sign-up genius
